2018 San Francisco Ballet Gala

I am lucky enough to be invited to the 2018 San Francisco Ballet Gala by none other than the Gucci boutique in San Francisco. Super honored to be invited and soooo extremely excited to be able to wear my embroidered Gucci coat and shoes from the Spring 2017 Gucci Runway. I’ve had both pieces in my closet for a while and was thrilled that the debut would be to the Ballet Gala!

The Gala is a formal black tie event, even though I really want to wear the coat, I do not feel comfortable not wearing something long. After all, everyone there will be in ball gowns. So I pair the coat with a Brunello Cucinelli tulle skirt that has also been hanging in my closet for a few months. Never in a million years did I think that the two pieces were going to be worn together but somehow I love the way the grey tulle peaks out from the bottom of the coat and adds even more drama to an already dramatic look!

Tall velvet curtains separate the entry way and the dinning area.

The evenings Celestial theme shines through all the decor and table decorations. A lovely 3 course dinner is served to all.

Once dinner is done it is time to walk from City Hall to the War Memorial Opera House to see the main event. We open the doors to cross the street only to find ourselves in the pouring rain. Thankfully James Collini from Gucci is there to save the day with his umbrella! We run across the street high heels and all!

We take our seats front and center and watch the amazing ballet.

Such a fantastic and magical evening! Thank you Gucci for including us!
