Chanel Code Coco Party PFW 2017
On the evening of Monday, October 2, I dress to the nines in one of my favorite Chanel ensembles to toast Chanel’s new watch, Code Coco, at the Hôtel du Grand Veneur (a favorite haunt of Hemingway’s—read about it in French here) in the Marais district of Paris.
A Great Start to PFW…
This being the first event I attend as part of Paris Fashion Week, I’m so excited to start my week off right with a fantastic party. We mingle with all of the très chic guests as wine, champagne and appetizers are passed around. (My favorite part is a mirrored photo area that Chanel set up to literally multiple the glamour!)
And of course, we ogle the gorgeous Chanel watches and jewelry on display!
Chanel Code Coco Inspiration
Chanel’s Code Coco watch comes in three different versions…
The Clasp Code is named “Mademoiselle” and it was inspired by the iconic 2.55 handbag. There is also the Quilted Code is a take on the quilted motif that’s been a Chanel emblem since 1955. Finally there is the Diamond Code is named after Gabrielle Chanel’s favorite gemstone. She’s quoted as saying, “If I have chosen the diamond, it is because it represents, in its density, the greatest value in the smallest volume.”
What I Wore
I choose a wrap dress with silver beading at the hem and back, paired with a silver floral belt and my new silver glitter boots—all Chanel, of course!
The print, embellishments and colors of the dress are perfect for a party vibe and the weight of the dress is perfect for the beautiful Parisian fall weather.
I grab my black leather LED light-up bag and I’m ready to party hearty in the City of Light!
There’s so much more PFW to come—subscribe to come along!
