San Francisco Fall Art & Antiques Show Honoring Andrew Gn
It’s so great to catch up with Andrew, he is one of the most talented designers and truly one of the sweetest guys! I last saw him at his show during Paris Fashion Week in March (check out my post about that here), so it’s lovely to catch up with him and the other guests in such a stunning setting.
Because Andrew is the Honorary Chair of the SF Fall Art & Antiques Show this year, the luncheon celebrates not only his groundbreaking fashion design but also the amazing antiques that come to the Fort Mason Festival Pavillion every year.
There’s art, furniture, jewelry and more placed throughout the pavilion from vendors like Jesse Davis Antiques, Clinton Howell Antiques, Shillay Fine Art and dozens more.
The pavilion’s high ceilings are decked out with hanging flowers, which makes it feel like you’re walking through a magical upside-down garden.
After a short cocktail party, lunch starts with a roasted pepper and tomato soup, followed by a delicious salmon over a very seasonal fall salad. Dessert is berries with a berry cream and chocolate layered cake (yum!).
During lunch, we’re treated to speeches by the Chair of the SF Fall Art & Antiques show, Suzanne Tucker, who thanks Andrew for lending his keen eye and sweet presence to the event, and then by a representative from event sponsor Geographic Expeditions.
What I Wore
Andrew’s fashion is modern, feminine, fresh and very wearable for all women, so I’m pleased as punch to wear Look 38 from Andrew’s Spring 2017 line. It’s a gorgeous day in SF so the outfit is a great fit for the weather!
After lunch we stopped by the boutique Betty Lin to check out Andrew’s Spring 2018 collection that he had brought with him from Paris. Needless to say I found some amazing pieces. Still trying to decide if I should go with the gorgeous pink floral cape. What do you guys think? Leave a comment below!
