Valentino Fall 2016 Collection
I had the opportunity to go and preview the Valentino Fall 2016 Collection in Paris. The collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, was stunning and all about modern dance and modern ballet. Pieces ranged from dark tailored coats to light tutu-inspired frocks. Combat boots and ballet flats were the focus instead of mile high stilettos. The whole collection was casual and delicate and felt suitable for everyday life. Check out the picture below from the stunning Valentino Fall 2016 Collection…
Valentino Atelier Staircase
One of my favorite looks from the Valentino Fall 2016 Collection. Black and white color palette speaks to the modern and effortless design. Combat boots give this look an edge to it while the sparkles on the skirt add a feminine touch.
Austere, moody outerwear over long, black tutu dresses. long capes and mid length capes as well as black shiny leather trench coats.
Transparent material in the collection included feminine dresses and shoes. Dresses were often shown over black comfy turtleneck sweaters or fitted ballet inspired knitwear.
I think these rockstud ballet flats from the Valentino Fall 2016 Collection will be a big trend in the fall. Valentino always adds their signature rockstuds to the most unexpected places.
Dreamy and etherial cloud embroidered fitted dress with a full skirt. Sparkly sequins highlight the pale blue, beige and pale pink color palette of this dress.
Interesting color combinations like this pale pink tulle mixed with dark gold lace makes this dress feminine yet edgy at the same time.
Tiny geometric shapes embroidered on dresses and coats speaks to a Russian theme that was expressed throughout the collection. This embroidered dress was stunning in person!
Love the layering of dresses and tutus over black turtlenecks and leggings. I love how the designers added a thick combat boot for a little edge and a black leather wrap belt for that ballet feel!
